Biography

Anthony is an M.S. student in the Department of Climate, Meteorology, and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Anthony’s research interests are in the intersection of tropical meteorology and social science, particularly multilingual risk communication. At the ALERTAS lab, he is conducting nationwide surveys and fieldwork for these hazards in both English and Spanish. In the future, he hopes to dive further into the intersection by investigating other phenomena such as Predecessor Rain Events and Rapid Intensification.

Anthony grew up in North Carolina and holds a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, motorsports, photography, and traveling.
